Read the passage about the Rosetta Stone. A large, heavy package arrived at the scholars’ palace in Cairo. When they opened it,

they found it contained a black stoned slab covered with writing in three different scripts. A note from a French army officer was inside the package saying that the stone had been unearthed in an old fort near the town of Rosetta, thirty-five miles north of Alexandria, Egypt. French soldiers were tearing down a ruined wall in the fort when they came upon the slab. –The Riddle of the Rosetta Stone, James Cross Giblin

Answer:

Chronological order.

Explanation:

Using the process of elimination we can figure out the answer. Problem and solution? What is the problem? There is none. Compare and contrast? What are you comparing? Nothing. Now it is down to two, chronological order and cause and effect. In this situation, cause and effect is the least likely.

1) The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

Does the story represent contemporary American culture?
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

It Does

Explanation:

Actually it describes how people is becoming less happy, how their smiles are being removed from their faces, in the perception of the writer the city was amazing just as American people think the country, it is represented by the feeling of victory that the author names the triumph felt. As in the representation of the boy who is looked in a room, it can be said that we nowadays have as well things that prefer to ignore or visit vaguely to see how defective we are in deep. He can be also a representation of happiness, and how we have killed or hidden it in order to have a bright and supposedly happy life, but if we made all these fears or dreams come out they could end our comfort.

The connection on page 40, “life in 999: a grim struggle,” describes daily life in late anglo-saxon england. how does life in 99
Leto [7]
The article "Life in 999: A Grim Struggle" indicates life as it was amid the Anglo-Saxon period. The article, from Time magazine, portrays the setting of the terrains as a "gathering of untamed backwoods, endless supply of trees and brush and brier, dim and unwelcoming." Readers of Beowulf can perceive how this grabs on the setting of the epic story. The setting of the Anglo-Saxon was huge.
