HELP!! EXPLAIN THIS QUOTE
kap26 [50]
These words are uttered by Macbeth after he hears of Lady Macbeth’s death, in Act 5, scene 5, lines 16–27. Given the great love between them, his response is oddly muted, but it segues quickly into a speech of such pessimism and despair—one of the most famous speeches in all of Shakespeare—that the audience realizes how completely his wife’s passing and the ruin of his power have undone Macbeth. His speech insists that there is no meaning or purpose in life. Rather, life “is a tale / Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, / Signifying nothing.” One can easily understand how, with his wife dead and armies marching against him, Macbeth succumbs to such pessimism. Yet, there is also a defensive and self-justifying quality to his words. If everything is meaningless, then Macbeth’s awful crimes are somehow made less awful, because, like everything else, they too “signify nothing.”

Write a method named swapPairs that accepts an array of strings as a parameter and
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

rite a method named swapPairs that accepts an array of strings as a parameter and

switches the order of values in a pairwise fashion. Your method should switch the order

of the first two values, then switch the order of the next two, switch the order of the next

two, and so on. For example, if the array initially stores these values:

String[] a = {"four", "score", "and", "seven", "years", "ago"};

swapPairs(a);

Your method should switch the first pair ("four", "score"), the second pair ("and", "seven") and

the third pair ("years", "ago"), to yield this array:

{"score", "four", "seven", "and", "ago", "years"}

If there are an odd number of values, the final element is not moved. For example, if the

original list had been:

{"to", "be", "or", "not", "to", "be", "hamlet"}

It would again switch pairs of values, but the final value ("hamlet") would not be moved,

yielding this list:

{"be", "to", "not", "or", "be", "to", "hamlet"}

She _____ providing a great public service if she _____ to get the business started. 1. could be / knows why 2. should be / knew
zhannawk [14.2K]
3. would be/knew how

The first blank must be future tense because the word after it ends in -ing

The second blank must be ____ how, and it must be past tense, so knew how. She knows why the business would be started, to provide a great public service, but not how.
