President Eisenhower quickly responded to the petition of Woodrow Wilson Martin, who was the Major of Little Rock. The major demanded protection for the black students and support integration in Little Rock Central Highschool. The President sent the 101st Airborne Division to protect the integrity of black students. Unfortunately, these students suffered different aggressions from white students.

Let's have in mind the nature and complexity of the problem. At the beginning of the fall semester in 1957, Orval Faubus, who was the governor of Arkansas, ordered the National Guard of Arkansas to prevent the black students to enter the premises of the school.
