If a client is being treated for diverticulosis, the following points should be included by the nurse in the client's teaching plan:

 

- Do not suppress the urge to defecate.

- Avoid constipation

- Drink at least 8 to 10 large glasses (Approximately 2 Liters) of fluid every day.

- Include foods that are soft but have increased fiber in your daily diet
