Peace and positivity is NOT the best way to deal with conflict. Trying to work out your problems with peace can just make it all worse. For example, if someone slaps you, you would not just smile and nod. You wouldn't just say "Oh, Hi there. Don't mind me. I'm sorry my face was in the way of your hand." You would stand up for yourself. You would either fight back or show them that it is not very nice to slap someone with words. We need to stick up for outselves! Stop the bullies today. - I hope this helps with your assignment. I do actually think we should be positive, but the assignment wants an opposing argument, so I came up with this.
Answer:
she got turned into a spider by Athena for being awesome
Explanation:
Arachne was a weaver and a really good one. At some point, she started getting audiences that would watch her weave. We don't really know how Athena got into this, maybe she was called, maybe she saw Arachne being awesome, but we know that Arachne was proud enough that she wasn't going to give the credit of her amazing weaving to Athena. Athena comes down and basically issues a challenge to see who's the better weaver. Arachne and Athena go to work, and when they're done, Arachne's piece ridicules the gods, saying how stup!d they were, and how amazing nature was in comparison, Athena's work praised them and said how awesome industrialism and architecture was. Some stories say Arachne won, some say Athena did, and some say it was a tie, but they all say that Arachne made a vital error, she insulted Athena, and by this time, Athena was having enough with this Arachne. So she beat her up, and hit her with the weaving thingy, and then turned her into a spider, so she could weave forever. Nice story right? So the moral? Don't be vain? Don't stand up to gods? Be nice to people with more power than you? Remember your place maybe? I don't know, you decide.

Shirley Jackson's "Charles" is a short story about a kindergartner named Laurie who tells his parents about the daily antics of his classmate, Charles. Every day, Laurie describes instances where Charles hurts other students and is generally a bad influence. Laurie's parents are aghast at the described behavior and become fascinated by what kind of parents must have raised Charles, believing themselves superior. While attending a PTA meeting, Laurie's mother learns that there is no one in Laurie's class named Charles.
I don't think this answer is any better but here it is.

Explanation:
The audience is the group of individuals that the argument is aimed at convincing. The audience serves as the decider of the result of an argument. They determine whether or not the conclusion of an argument is valid or not. An audience not properly carried along by the speaker is bound to misinterpret the centrality of the argument and likely to misjudge the conclusion of the argument. An argument that does not receive the favor of the audience will be considered weak and invalid.
The community sees audience as necessarily a crowd or a thick population but in the real sense, anybody to whom a speech or a writing is addressed is an audience, it may be singular, and no matter how small the population is, can decide the fate of the argument.
The audience has to be smarter in order to be able to fully grasp the message that is being passed across by the argument. A wrong understanding of the argument may lead to an erroneous conclusion by the audience. In order to make the people smarter, they must be properly taught and their cognitive abilities developed. The environment also plays an inestimable role in improving smartness. Making people relate with the right people and events goes a long way in improving their Intelligence Quotient.
The speaker must also ensure that he makes his points clear and that the audiences are properly carried along to avoid misunderstanding of the message passed.
