First Amendment :

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The first amendment is one my favorite amendments because, it protects people's freedom and their right to express themselves, through religion or speech.

Thirteenth Amendment :

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

The thirteenth is my favorite amendment because, it forbids slavery or forced labor.

If the representative from the company is to be believed the new drill site will help decrease pollution across the area and create a safer environment for the current generation and future generations. If the drill site is indeed dangerous, everyone in the town is at risk off being hurt by hazardous materials. The safety of the citizens is more important than creating jobs.</span>
