A benefit of the Dynasty system as a form of government is that it helps to create the continuity needed for rulers to really establish the foundation of a long term government that could benefit the citizens through the pass of time. If the government results in having good rulers, the benefits for all last many years.

On the other hand, the potential problem is that a bad ruler in a dynasty can turn into a dictator that oppresses the citizens and charge them taxations and commit injustices. If its foreign policy is expansionist, war and conquest would be the constant of the dynasty, generating pain, suffering to the empire, and deep debt due to the war.

Both examples can be seen in the dynasties of Ancient Egypt and Ancient China.
