Answer:

Here's why.

Explanation:

I believe that superstitions and conspiracies are powerful because they set up a form of hypothesis for others to try to prove right or wrong. When no natural cause can explain a situation, attributing an event to a superstitious cause may give people some sense of control and ability to predict what will happen in their environment. Conspiracy theories are powerful because they promise to satisfy important social psychological motives that can be confusing and hard to answer.

If you could change your name what would it be? Why would you change your name to this? Give your name a meaning and explain why
Roman55 [17]
I would change my name it would be Brooklyn. It’s somewhat of a cliché as to why it would be this name but, I’ve always wanted a name I could shorten to something and Brooklyn would allow that. Maybe Brook or Lynn? Aside from that I’ve also loved the idea of visiting or moving to Brooklyn, NY (a Brooklyn living in Brooklyn makes me happy)! The meaning of Brooklyn is water or stream and it’s simply important to me because it would mean I would have a name I can have pride in and that is me.

I hope this helps!!

Understanding texts with difficult words can be made easier by a study of all except entomology.

Entomology is a branch of zoology. It focuses on the study of insects.

The other options present expressions that would be useful for understanding difficult words:

  • Affix is an element that we add to a word in order to change its meaning. It may be added to the beginning or the ending of the word.
  • Etymology is the study of the origin of a word.
  • Root words are those words that originate other words. For instance, the word "illegal" is originated from the word "legal".
