The allies had helped them by providing aid in the form of supplies, weapons, military leaders, and soldiers. The allies had a common enemy as well since Spain and France lost the Seven Years War against Britain. Britain had become the major power in Europe and the rest of the world. Spain and France wanted to get revenge and as well regain prestige. The allies had also wanted to regain the lost territory that Britain had taken when they lost the Seven Years War. The allies wanted to gain a new trade partner, the United States. Some people from Europe related to the American fight for independence. They wanted to help free then from Britain's rule. Hope this helps :)

The Council of Trent did all the following except
Maru [420]

The correct answer is A) approve the sale of indulgences.

The Council of Trent did all the following except "approve the sale of indulgences."

What the Council of Trent did was to reaffirm the authority of the Pope,

established seminaries for the training of priests, and backed the traditional interpretation of transubstantiation. The Council was held from 1545 to 1563 in the city of Trento, Italy. It was the Catholic Church's reaction to the Protestant Reformation led by Martin Luther, a German monk, that had written the influential book "95 Theses," in which he questioned and critiqued the selling of indulgences by the Catholic Church.
