I think I can give maybe some guidance on number two but you’ll have to write it yourself and answer number three yourself. So when they say tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth I believe what they want is simply the truth, the whole truth which means no leaving out details tell EVERYTHING, and nothing but the truth means to just not lie. I really hope this helped even a little bit!

Connotation of determined and stubborn is being strong-willed and resolute. When you are determined, you have decided to do something. When you are stubborn, in doing what you have to do and presented with arguments, you still decided to continue what you are doing regardless of what others say.

Arada [10]

Answer:

Straightforward and simple, while still relating a lot of information to the reader .

Explanation:

Ernest Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" is set during World War I and revolves around the life of Frederic Henry, a lieutenant in the Italian Army. The story delves into themes of war, masculinity, existentialism, love and death amid the ongoing fighting.

The given excerpt is from chapter IX of the text where the narrator, Henry describes the place where he parked their cars. He went on to describe the scene and how they planned to get back. In using simple words and easy-to-understand straightforward description, the style of writing the author employs in this scene relates enough information to the readers.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.
