Answer:

The word 'rowed' is remarkable to describe the bird's flight. In this poem, Dickinson exhibits her extraordinary poetic powers of observation and description of a simple incident of a bird. The speaker passionately portrays the bird as it eats a worm, brushes at the grass, hops by a beetle, and looks around fearfully.

It was thought that the aerodynamics of flapping flight in birds is fully understood for quite some time, but recent studies have shown that this is not the case. Bird flight uses aerodynamic mechanisms to generate lift and thrust that differ significantly from conventional aircraft.

Why do we read fairy tales? And why do we first encounter them as children?
labwork [276]
I think that we read fairytales because they are entertaining. Some are also very easy to read as kids. Some times as children adults tell us them for that we learn a lesson. Like the boy who cried wolf shows what can happen if we lie to much. Lastly, I think that it’s because when we grow up we can tell it to others also. :)

Which of these excerpts from Margaret Frink's memoir most clearly shows that her story is told in the first person?
sashaice [31]
Yes, you are correct. The answer would be letter A. We were quite tired, and there being a large brick house near by, we inquired there... This is because the first person includes the speaker in an excerpt or narration, which is best depicted by the word 'we'.
