How did the compromise of 1850 affect slavery during manifest destiny
aksik [14]
Manifest Destiny basically mean, "EVERYONE MOVE TO THE WEST NOW!" But with no slaves, how would they create farms to maintain themselves? Easy: expand slavery. However, this was battled against by several sources to create the Compromise of 1850. The compromise delayed the Civil War, despite politicians knowing it will eventually happen. It bought them time-- that was important! Other new states like Nebraska and Kansas were allowed to allow slavery or not. This eventually grew to where the North had no slavery and the South did, which lead to the Civil War.

Plzzz answer aspppp What effect did the 13 Amendment<br> have on the ECONOMY?
Schach [20]

Please don't just copy my answer :) Please just use it as inspiration for your own response.

The 13th amendment not only banned slavery, but had a lot to do, with the economy. There have been many job opportunities that became available due to slave shortages.Any farmer who was unable to afford paying employees had to sell any or all of their land. There were many jobs available, but none were openly available to African Americans. African Americans began finding employment very difficult due to the southern hate for their race.

Hope this helps! Please correct me if I'm wrong :)

Why did private Montgomery fire his weapon? at The Boston massacre
Blizzard [7]

Answer: He was mad because someone stroked him so he fired at the crowd.

Explanation: So he said  “By no means,” Preston replied, pointing out that he was standing in the front of his men. Only moments later, someone hurled a wooden club from the crowd, striking Private Hugh Montgomery. The soldier struggled to his feet and raised his weapon. “How dare you Fire!” Montgomery yelled, before discharging his musket.
