Answer:

(Answers may vary.)

Clinical psychologists work to help people with mental disorders and behavioral problems. These psychologists help disturbed people to adapt to their surroundings and manage their mental health disorders.

Psychologists in this subfield may work in hospitals, clinics, government or private organizations, correctional institutions, military institutions, and academic institutions. Some clinical psychologists work in private practice, giving them the flexibility to choose their own work hours and the number of patients they see. Clinical psychology is a growing field and demand for clinical psychologists is rising due to mental health issues becoming more widespread. In addition, there is no longer any stigma associated with seeking assistance for mental health concerns.

In most states, clinical psychologists cannot prescribe medicines because they are not medical doctors as psychiatrists are. Thus, their job mainly entails:

Identifying and assessing a mental or behavioral disorder using methods such as psychometric tests, interviews, and observation

Providing appropriate treatment in various ways, including therapy, counseling, and referrals when medical or other intervention is required

Maintaining detailed records of interviews, therapy sessions, assessments, analyses, therapeutic goals, records of progress, and other treatment notes

Maintaining patient confidentiality

Providing professional testimony in court when required, such as in the case of clinical psychologists who work in prisons or within the justice system to assess the mental health of suspects, victims, or witnesses

Some of the common tests that clinical psychologists administer, depending on the kinds of disorders they treat, include:

Schizophrenia Test and Early Psychosis Indicator (STEPI)

Structured Adult ADHD Self-Test (SAAST)

Rorschach Inkblot Test

Tri-Axial Bipolar Spectrum Screening Quiz (TABS)

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)

Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)

Rotter Incomplete Sentence Blank (RISB)

While clinical psychology is an exciting and expanding field, the job doesn’t come without challenges. Clinical psychologists deal with people who have faced or are facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental and emotional problems. Clinical psychologists must help them cope with these disorders, which can be distressing and stressful for the professional, particularly when dealing with severely disturbed individuals on a daily basis. Doing their job effectively requires patience, emotional stability, and mental strength. If clinical psychologists can develop the tools to cope with daily stressors, helping others to improve their lives and overcome their problems can be a rewarding experience. Being a clinical psychologist is a lucrative career option that offers a high salary.

Sentence Fragments
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

B. Before they were dismissed from school, the children collected their belongings from their lockers and put on their coats.

Explanation:

Sentence fragments are fragments of sentences that are together but not complete as a sentence. They are more like dependent clauses, with no meaning, and also doesn't make a full meaningful sentence. Sometimes, different punctuation may be required to make them into complete sentences.

Among the given sentences, option B is a complete sentence with correct punctuation and sentence structure.

The other options are sentence fragments as they either are incomplete sentences or they need a change in the punctuation used.

Like in sentence A, the period/ full stop between "lockers" and "And" should be removed. And change the "A" into "a".

In sentence C, the same case with the position of the period. Removing the period after "school", change it into a comma and changing the capital "T" from "The" to "t".

Sentence D also has the same error- the period after "belongings" and changing "F" into "f" of "From".

Thus, the correct answer is sentence B.

How is this so far?
Veronika [31]
Hello there!

I am not sure what level you are but for me as a 12th grade student, I would get a big F for that sentence. But for you, it might be okay.

Here is how I would write it if it was for me

The first reason I like carpeting is because I have an interest in it. I like touching the carpets because it is soft and I love sleeping on them. To make a rug, you have to make it as a three-dimension triangle with the whole floor. Of course, making them isn't always easy, but it worth it. Especially at my house, we put carpets everywhere. Those are one of the reasons I like carpeting.

Tips: When you are writing an essay/assignment, make sure you don't repeat the words over and over. That will show the teacher you don't know enough vocabularies. As you can see, I used carpet and rug, they are the same thing. but if you keep saying carpet carpet over and over, the teacher might gets dizzy.

You must have at least 5 sentences in each paragraph.

And by the way, when you say you like something or you support something, you must give some examples. You need to tell the reader why you like carpeting.

I hope this helps!

If you need more help with this assignment, just let me know!

As always, I am here to help!
