Some of the important ideas came from the Athenian justice and government. They mostly had jury courts and very large ones with thousands of people, indicating the importance of justice in their society. They also developed democracy, which is one of the systems we use today. Their art shows the value they put in life, as they saw philosophy as a very important subject while many others focused on war. They were also the greatest trade hub in all of Greece, with easy access by sea. The Middle East served as a pushing factor for all of Greece during the Greco- Persian wars where the greeks were forced to confront differences for independence. This caused a future series of wars which shaped athens valuable navy and military force. This also strictened its laws and governing rule
