Okay so, the Great Depression of 1929 was the worst economic downturn. It lasted about 10 years (1929-1939). It caused Wall Street into a panic and wiped out MILLIONS of investors. It also caused troops returning from the war, which created a surge in the civilian labor force and more unemployment. One reason why this happend was because the stock market crash.

Why did anti-federalists criticized the constitution?

The anti-federalist felt that the constitution would give too much power to the federal government. They basically were opposed because of what was in it or what wasn't in it because of fear that their civil liberties would be stripped off due to everyone functioning off of the constitution. They more so wanted a bill of rights to proclaim all the liberties a citizen is granted to avoid this.

Many colonies were economically more developed than they likely would have been had they not bee colonized. An example of this is India, a country which likely wouldn't be in the economic position it is today if it weren't for advances made under British rule. India would likely be even less developed than it is today and would probably be split into several if not many smaller nations/kingdoms.
