4 0

Answer:

There are 25 reindeers and 17 snowbirds

Step-by-step explanation:

A reindeer has 4 legs while a snowbird has two legs

Let the number of reindeer be x while the number of snowbirds is y

Total heads is 42;

x + y = 42 •••••••(i)

let’s now count the legs

4(x) + 2(y) = 134

4x + 2y = 134 ••••••(ii)

divide ii by 2

2x + y = 67

y = 67 - 2x

and from i above too, y = 42-x

equate the y

67-2x = 42-x

67-42 = -x + 2x

x = 25

y = 42-x

y = 42-25

y = 17

Sanya makes a pattern of values for x and a pattern of values for y which ordered pair continues the patterns and has an x value
Mama L [17]

Answer:

C. (6,9)

Step-by-step explanation:

If you look at the way the x is going up. It goes by two digits every time. 0 -> 2

and 2 -> 4. While the y goes up by three every two x. 0 -> 3 and 3 -> 6. Which means if you make x = 6 than you would have to multiply 3 by 3 to equal 9.

Simplify and select the answer with the appropriate restrictions for the variables.
Arlecino [84]
5x-3x^2/2x^4 =x(5-3x) / 2x.(x^3), simplified by x, we have 5-3x/2x^3, (x≠0)
so the answer is C.5-3x/2x^3, (x≠0)
