Answer:

The germans exhausted all of their supplies because when germany invaded the soviet union the winter started soon after and as we all know russian winters are brutal. Another reason as to why the germans exhausted all of their supplies was because of the large territory the germans had to trek since the soviet union was and still is the largest country in the world. The battle marked the end of the german advancement into soviet union territory because after the russians aka the soviets won the battle the germans were forced to push back to germany which led to the soviet union, britain, the usa, and france to launch a mass invasion into germany why led to germany's eventual surrender on may 7 1945.
