From the latter, we obtain the equation 1 radian = (180π)o . This leads us to the rule to convert radian measure to degree measure. To convert from radians to degrees, multiply the radians by 180°π radians .

find the circumference and area of a circle with a diameter of 22 inches. leave your answers in the terms of pi
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

121π

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for a circle is πr^2. But if given a diameter instead of radius, you simply divide by 2 because radius is half of a diameter.

Radius of this circle is 11 because you divide 22 by 2.

Then you follow the formula. 11^2=121.

MrMuchimi

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm sure he was making a joke at the expense of people who rely on mathematics rather than common sense. It is funny, but then Twain was a remarkably funny author..

The problem is that the comparison is apt using some sort of proportion, but it is absurd to think that the land holding the river would also shrink a proportional amount.

The river reached a minimum (presumably) in 1875 by cutting out all the loops that were there in 1700. The Mississippi was then a straight line from it's beginning to its delta on the gulf of Mexico. It could not get any shorter. Still, Twain managed to get laughs with his whimsical humor.

Thanks for posting. This made my evening.
