zepelin [54]

Correct answer choices are :

A) Europeans had begun to demand valuable goods such as silk and spices that could only be found in Asia.

B) European merchants had manufactured goods to sell in Asia but needed a way to get them there

Explanation:

While the fifteenth century, Westerners weren't just out to explore for a sea route to Asia, they had to explore for one since the Ottoman Turks commanded the Silk Road, which was the main ground route from Europe through the Middle East to Asia. Westerners had started to ask important goods such as silk and spices that could only be located in Asia as it has been very helpful to their everyday living. Of course, in turn, European traders had produced goods to sell in Asia for those expensive goods such as silk and spices, but when the land route wasn't possible and safe anymore, they had to explore for sea routes.

Explain how events during world war 2 set the stage for the rise of modern civil rights movement
sergey [27]

Answer:

World War II laid the groundwork for the modern Civil Rights movement because it exposed black troops to living conditions and Europe and made the juxtaposition of fighting for democracy abroad given the Jim Crow conditions at home well-defined. The postwar period also witnessed Black soldiers assuming a major role in Civil Rights activity. Medgar Evers is an excellent example of this type of activism. He became the Field Secretary for the NAACP in Mississippi. The war also exposed the fallacy of Aryanism, the notion of a master race and demonstrated what could happen when these ideas were utilized in the state. Nazi Germany totally discredited the idea of Jim Crow and led to gradual changes in the United states.
