This is a painting that portrays a commercial relationship in the Middle Ages. In the painting there is a kind of shop where different items were sold, such as boots, clothes and utensils being sold in exchange for coins. It is also possible to notice that there are two different social classes portrayed in the painting, the traders are dressed in gray costumes and the nobles wear costumes in blue and red, which were colors that only the nobility wore at that time because of the rarity and high pigment price.

It is possible to understand through painting, then, the beginning of a trading system where people supply products for sale and other people buy according to their interest and purchasing power.
