Michael Jackson was a famous singer, songwriter, and dancer in the late 1900s and especially early 2000s.

He was born of August 29, 1950 near Chicago. His family started a band called the Jackson Brothers, which later became known as the Jackson 5 when Michael began sharing lead vocals. Him and his family were known to be the first black crossover artists.

His career eventually began to sky rocket after he started to produce songs on his own. He is most known for his hit single "Thriller" that has a funk feel to it. Most often, it is a song that people play around Halloween. As an artist, he received 13 Grammy Awards and was the first recording artist to be admitted into the Dance Hall of Fame.

Answer: b) to demonstrate that acupuncture is regulated and safe.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a federal agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. It is responsible for promoting and protecting public health through the control of several consumer products.

In this text, the fact that the FDA approves the needles that acupuncturists use supports the idea of acupucture being safe. Other arguments provided as support for this claim is the fact that only qualified practitioners can practice acupuncture or that very few complications arise from it.
