Odysseus is smart , brave and loyal , he is basically an epic hero capable of anything.
Ralph starts to feel like he needs/ wants to step back and let Jack lead the group for a while. He is slowly getting sick of all the responsibility of leading the group of boys. This foreshadows Jack's ruling of the group as Ralph becomes more of a follower. <span />
