I need to solve this using l'hopital's rule and logarithmic diferentiation.
arlik [135]

Yo sup??

For our convenience let h=x+1

therefore

when x tends to -1, h tends to 0

hence we can rewrite it as

\lim_{h \to \ 0 } (cos(h))^{(cot(h^2 )}

This inequality is of the form 1∞

We will now apply the formula

e^(^g^(^x^)^(^f^(^x^)^-^1^)^)

plugging in the values of g(x) and f(x)

e^{lim_{h \to \ 0}{(cot(h)^2(cos(h)-1))}

express coth² as cosh²/sinh² and also write cosh-1 as 2sin²(h/2)

(by applying the property that cos2x=1-sin²x)

After this multiply the numerator and denominator with h² so that we can apply the property that

\lim_{x \to \ 0 } sinx/x =1

Now your equation will look like this.

e^{lim_{h \to \ 0}{((cos(h)^2(2sin^2(h/2)*h^2)/(sin(h)^2*h^2)}

We will now apply the result

\lim_{x \to \ 0 } sinx/x =1

where x=h²

we get

e^{lim_{h \to \ 0}{((cos(h)^2(2sin^2(h/2))/(h^2)}

we now multiply the numerator and denominator with 4 so that we can say

\lim_{h^2 \to \ 0 } sin^2(h/2)/(h^2/4) = 1

e^{lim_{h \to \ 0}{((cos(h)^2(2sin^2(h/2))/(h^2*4/4)}

=e^{lim_{h \to \ 0}{((cos(h)^2*2)/(4)}

Apply the limits and you will get

e^{cos(0)^2*2/4

=e^{1/2}

Hope this helps.

A photographer can take 12 pictures in 5 minutes. How long will it take him to take 132 pictures
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

55 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Use a proportion.

x = the number of minutes.

\frac{12}{5}=\frac{132}{x} \\ \\ 12x=660 \\ \\ x = 55

Jason's insurance company pays 80% of the cost of an ambulance ride, after he pays a $200 deductible. The ambulance ride costs $
Y_Kistochka [10]
Jason's insurance pays 80% of the cost after he pays a $200 deductible. The deductible is Jason's responsibility. The insurance does not pay this and calculates the 80% AFTER it is subtracted from the total cost.

That's 1200 - 200 = 1000.

The insurance pays 80% of 1000. Percent means "out of 100" (per means "for every" and "cent" means 100 --> think CENTury...100 years). So 80% means 80 out of 100. That is, \frac{80}{100}. To find 80% of 1000 we multiply: (\frac{80}{100})( 1000) = \frac{80000}{100}=800

If decimals are more your thing then represent 80% as .80 and multiply (1000)(.80) = 800.

Now, that's what the insurance pays. So out of that $1,000 the insurance pays $800 leaving Jason with a bill of $200 plus the deductible (another $200). That means Jason pays $400.
