Hence:

y - (1/2y + 1/2) = 0

y - 1/2y - 1/2

Solving for y

y/2 = 1/2

Cross Multiply

2y = 2

y = 1

Solving for x

(1/2x - 1/2) = y

y = 1

1/2x - 1/2 = 1

1/2x = 1 + 1/2

x/2 = 3/2

Cross Multiply

2x = 2 × 3

2x = 6

x = 6/2

x => 3 eggs
