Board of Education resulted in the Supreme Courts ruling that the segregation of races in the  public schools violates the equal protection clause of the  Fourteenth Amendment. It happened after a father was angry that his daughter was forced to go to the "black" school 10 blocks away, while there was a "white" school only a block away from their home.
