A person's resting heart rate is typically between 60 and 100 beats per minute. Noah looks at his watch, and counts 8 heartbeats

in 10 seconds.Write an equation for h, the number of times Noah’s heart beats (at this rate) in m minutes.h = _______________
Use m as your variable. The problem expects an algebraic expression with variables for an answer.

Answer:

h=48

Step-by-step explanation:

You should create an even proportion. So you could do seconds over heartbeats or the other way around. I decided to do the other way around. Since yu want to see h in m minutes and in a minute there are 60 seconds, I did 8/10 = h/60. Instead of cross multiplying, I saw that 10 times 6 is 60 so 8 x 6=h. 8 x 6 = 48 so h=48.

Calculate the length of diagonals of a square if its own side is 12√2 cm
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

  • 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the side be s and diagonal be d.

The relationship between the side and diagonal of a square is:

  • d = s√2

Substitute the value of s to find d:

  • d = 12√2 × √2 = 12 × 2 = 24 cm

(Tough day dividing polynomials and I'm still lost!) Please help me my hands are legit numb:)
N76 [4]

Answer:

Option D. 9

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two ways to obtain the answer to the question.

Method 1:

Let 2x + 1 = 0

Making x the subject, we have

2x + 1 = 0

Collect like terms

2x = –1

Divide both side by 2

x = –1/2

Now, put the value of x into the expression 4x³ – 6x² – 8x + 7, we have:

4x³ – 6x² – 8x + 7

x = –1/2

4(–1/2)³ – 6(–1/2)² – 8(–1/2) + 7

4(–1/8) – 6(1/4) – 8(–1/2) + 7

–1/2 – 3/2 + 4 +7

– 4/2 + 4 + 7

– 2 + 4 + 7

= 9

Method 2:

Divide 4x³ – 6x² – 8x + 7 by 2x + 1

Please see attached photo for explanation.

The lesser number is 30.
It took me about one minute to determine the two numbers by simple logic alone.
30 and 60 are the two numbers.
But, equation-wise, you have ...
30 x 2(30) = 1800
30 x 60 = 1800
