Hi,

The Orleans Parish school crisis began within the summer of 1960, but the seeds for it were planted in 1954, when the US Supreme Court ruled that racially segregated public schools were unconstitutional. Faced with the order to desegregate, the urban center School Board—with the support of thousands of angry white parents—tried resisting, postponing, and defying the writ in every way possible. city board members even asked the governor to intervene, hoping that he would close the state’s public schools before he would integrate them. Despite massive resistance and crowds of protestors, four African American school girls—Ruby Bridges, Leona Tate, Tessie Prevost, and Gail Etienne—attended formerly all-white schools within the fall of 1960, beginning the long journey toward the mixing of recent Orleans’s public schools.

Hope this helps

ikadub [295]

adherence to Islamic political traditions.

Fundamentalist beliefs in religion mean to return to the fundamental or basic ideas of a religion.

Fundamentalists in the Middle East believe Muslims need to return to the basic principles of Islam. Many want to return Islamic countries to Islamic law as the Muslim Empires had been once been. This ideology also encourages rejection of western culture and ideas and a return to a purer form of Islam.

One goal for nativist groups in the late 1800s was...
Daniel [21]

The correct answer is C) Exclusion.

Nativist groups are collections of people who are anti-immigration. Nativists are individuals who put the needs of native born citizens over those of immigrants. This group of people usually resent immigrants because they take job opportunities away from native born citizens. Nativist argue that immigrants are willing to work for less pay, resulting in businesses hiring immigrants instead of citizens born in the country.

This is why nativists are in favor of excluding new people from coming into their country.
