Discuss the value and importance in your life of continuing your education and how it relates to your choosing
BartSMP [9]

In most people’s life, there is a time that one sometimes ponder if continuing education is worth the time and money. Perhaps an opportunity presented itself that forces you to decide if you should take the opportunity or continue your education. While continuing your education may not be exciting compared to other things in life, but the benefits are life-long. Hence, if you are undecided, then below are some facts that support the importance of continuing education.

Some of the individuals who think they don’t need to continue their education, reason that not all jobs will require a higher College Studentseducational degree. While this is true on some levels, but, if you want a higher paying job, then continuing your education is almost a must. Look at the entire situation as if you are the employer.

Imagine checking two resumes from two applicants. The two have about the same level of experience. However, one applicant gained a higher education in the field. Who would you pick?

Unless the other applicant is a prodigy, you would most likely pick the applicant with a higher degree of education. Now, compound the situation.

These days, employers are not only checking two applicants, but lots of them. This means that you need to try harder in terms of making yourself more attractive to the employer; and a higher degree of education may be the tipping point that puts the odds in your favor, rather than against it.

Which of these is a symbol in the novel "The Great Gatsby?"
Eddi Din [679]

The correct option is \boxed{\text{C. a pair of eyes on a billboard}}.

Further Explanation:

In the story "The Great Gatsby" Fitzgerald revolves around a love story of a man and a woman but there lies a much bigger platform under the romantic level. The story throws light on the people living during the 1920s in America. He portrays the character and the story who reflect on the hollowness of the moral aspect of the people. The people at that time rushed blindly behind the false and materialistic pleasure. The extravagant parties and the newly rich class of the society are the reflections of the American dream. The desire for money and pleasure constituted the dream of the Americans. The hippocras of the rich people and their lack of sensitivity has been highlighted in the story. The eyes of T.J Eckelberg which were printed on the billboard represented the level of commercialism hidden in the American dream. The eyes reflect on the emptiness in the life of Gatsby. Although he had earned a huge amount of money through illegal activities, still he lacked the presence of Daisy, the love of his life. The eyes represented different aspects for different people. To George Wilson, the eyes reflected the presence of God's eyes over the people. To Nick, it was the past which always keeps an eye on the present and the future.
