A) The USA did not want to enter another war due to there recovery from the civil war.


E) The USA had been loaning money to France and England, but the axis powers were gaining an upper hand, so the USA decided to join the effort to stop the axis powers

Mainly Germany was sinking U.S. merchant ships with their u-boats (submarines), and they tried to settle this issue many times before but failed every time. Finally, germany made the mistake of sending the Zimmermann telegram telling Mexico to attack and take back their old territories from the USA. Luckily european soldiers caught it before it made it to the Mexicans hands.

Fact USA was also funding Germany to stay neutral with both of the major battles.
