Can anyone make me a literary device phrase about independent women and tell me which one u used?
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

An independent woman is like the sun that doesn't need the moon to shine.

In the sentence above, there is a combination of two literary devices:

 1. Simile and
 2. Imagery

a) To compare the independent woman to the sun using the word "like" in the sentence connotes the use of a Simile.

b) Comparing her independence with the relationship between the sun and the moon creates a strong image in the mind of the reader. Hence the literary device called Imagery.

Geographically speaking, the moon needs the sun to shine. But the obverse is untrue. The savvy reader immediately gets a hold of the depth of independence being described.

Cheers!
