I think the antagonist is Rose in the end, because at the end she doesn't tell her about breakfast because she thinks Melody will slow her down, and then she doesn't call Melody about the plane.

This may be important as despite her rebellion against her community. Nasreen still respects her parents’ traditions and faith.
