21 full tables because if you divide the amount of plates you have by the amount of plates needed for each table you’ll get 21.5 but they asked for full tables so that would be 21

A rectangle has a perimeter of (12+8y). If one side of the rectangle is (4x-2y), write an expression of the other side.
ziro4ka [17]

P = 2(l+w)

substitute for P and l

12+8y = 2 (4x-2y+w)

distribute

12+8y = 8x -4y +2w

solve for w

subtract 8x from each side

12 +8y -8x = -4y+2w

add 4y to each side

12 +12 y -8x = 2w

divide by2

6 +6y-4x =w

the other side is 6+6y-4x

I forgot how to multiply by division and multiplication. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done it i’ve practically forgot h
levacccp [35]

Answer:

First, multiplication:

Multiplication is repeated addition, there's really no way to put it simpler. For example:

4 × 6 = 24 because 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 24

3 × 3 = 9 because 3 + 3 + 3 = 9

9 × 2 = 18 because 9 + 9 = 18

Multiplication, like addition, can also work backwards, so 6 × 4 is also 24, 2 × 9 is 18, and so on.

I recommend practicing your times tables up to 12 if your remembrance has gotten really bad.

Now division:

Division has the same properties as multiplication, except with subtraction. The difference, however, is that division does not work backwards. It's the same as subtraction.

Here are some examples for division:

6 ÷ 3 = 2 because 6 - 3 - 3 = 0 (3 can be subtracted twice, so the answer is 2)

12 ÷ 4 = 3 because 12 - 4 - 4 - 4 = 0

20 ÷ 2 = 10 because 20 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 = 0

I'd recommend practicing your long division if you are struggling.

Hope this helped you! If you have any more questions, send me a friend request and I'll check for more questions every so often. :)
