Can you please provide more information so I can answer the question:)
Can you be more specific??
There are not much resistance shown by the slaves but only by one who is Northup. Others were not seen using resistance on the epps plantation. Explanation:
- The film :twelve years a slave: is a movie which was based upon the life and the hardships of the slaves of that time.
- Even though the 1854 memoir on which the film is based shows many resistances by the slaves but no resistance and fighting back of the slaves is shown in the movie.
- The only fighting back of Northup is shown in the movie where he fights against the person to whom he has been mortgaged.
Point of view would be your answer because it’s showing how the character views things
It does negate both of them because it negatively affects everyday life to a great extent, in which people lose freedom, suffer from emotional distress, live with threat on their and their family's lives, have problems in working, obtaining food, and other problems that impact a reasonable standard of living and consequently violate the human rights.
Violence, in general, change the environment to the extent of the reach it has, in this panorama, domestic violence;local gangs on their fight for territory; and finally, great wars that cover an entire nation or a group of countries, negates human rights and decency.
