Formula: y=mx+b

Plug in your numbers. Y=1/4x-5

1/4 is the slope so it takes the place of m, and our y-intercept is -5 so it replaces b.

I can't put a graph on here, but go on desmos.com and put the equation in and it graphs it for you ;)

What is the midpoint of equation if N(10, −14) and P(−16, −4)?
meriva

Answer:

The answer is

<h2>( - 3 , - 9)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint M of two endpoints of a line segment can be found by using the formula

M = (  \frac{x_1 + x_2}{2} , \:  \frac{y_1 + y_2}{2} ) \\

where

(x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) are the points

From the question

N(10, −14) and P(−16, −4)

The midpoint is

M = ( \frac{10 - 16}{2}   \: , \:  \frac{ - 14 - 4}{2} ) \\  = (  - \frac{6}{2}  \: , \:  -  \frac{18}{2} )

We have the final answer as

<h3>( - 3 , - 9)</h3>

Hope this helps you
