Answer:

One example of Lennie being discriminated against because of his mental disability takes place when Curley views him as an easy target and vents his rage by punching Lennie in the face. Another example takes place when Crooks bullies Lennie by purposely upsetting him while George is in town. George even discriminates against Lennie by speaking to him disparagingly and admitting to playing cruel jokes on him in the past.
