As the protagonist in The Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford is consistently conflicted with external conflicts. Give two examples o

f his external conflicts. Remember, you should not say, "General Zaroff wants to kill him", we know that. You need to focus on two specific instances. For example, Rainsford falling off the yacht, and swimming to the island (you cannot use that example). Additionally, give two examples of his internal conflicts.

Answer:

Two instances of an internal conflict were when he had to assure himself to not let go and lose his nerve and his realization of the fine line between the hunter and the hunted.

And two instances of internal conflict are when he was hunted by the hounds and also when he had to get through the rough waters to get to Zaroff's bedroom and kill the man.

Explanation:

An external conflict is when the character has to get through obstacles or other characters to get to his destination. This can be in the form of man vs. nature, man, society, animals, etc. On the other hand, an internal conflict is when the character struggles within himself to get to the destination/ goal. This is also known as man vs. self.

In Richard Connell's "The Most Dangerous Game", the protagonist Sanger Rainsford faces both internal as well as external conflicts.

The internal conflicts are when he was hunted by the general. After he has had minor success in inflicting the general with some bodily harm, Rainsford decided to go for <em>"a desperate, hopeless flight, that carried him on for some hours. Dusk came, then darkness, and still he pressed on."</em> This flight for safety, while he’s been hunted, presents one internal conflict. Another is when he realized the small boundary between the hunter and the hunted, and the need to stay focused and not let himself be caught. A couple of times, he had to tell himself <em>"I will not lose my nerve. I will not."</em>

And the external conflicts are when he had to brace the forces of the forest and swimming the rough waters to get back to the General's castle. And he also had to evade the hounds seeking him out.

The nurse manager is observing theperformance of a nursing assistant. which behavor by the nursing assistant toward a client ref
Serga [27]

A nursing assistant's performance is being monitored by the nurse manager. The nursing assistant's actions toward a client demonstrate a breach of boundaries, such as accepting a gift from the client.

When a nurse crosses the line between a therapeutic relationship and a personal or social relationship with a patient, such as by accepting a gift from the patient, they have violated the client's boundaries. Advice should not be given since it undermines the client's capacity for problem-solving and has the potential to lead to dependency and helplessness. Giving advice to the client is an example of poor communication skills rather than a breach of boundaries.

False comfort should not be given from nurse since it is not grounded in truth and may sever communication. Instead of being a boundary violation, it is an example of poor communication skills. Excessive probing is not a sign of respecting others' boundaries; instead, it is a sign of poor communication skills. Inappropriate probing is not therapeutic and may be carried out by caretakers to avoid awkward silences or out of curiosity.
