Jackson disagrees with civil disobedience, because he says that such disobedience is "not far removed from open crime." He says that civil disobedience is against the "American way of life."

Basically, he is saying that civil disobedience is a crime because it creates tensions that lead to violence. Instead, Jackson believed in the democratic process that would eventually lead to a better life for all.

In the case of including a main clause in the sentence, infinitive phrase separates it with comma. In the sentence: Because she had never baked a cake before, Sharon decided to follow the recipe carefully. A main clause is put first ‘Because she had never baked a cake before’ then a comma is added, so that means the infinitive phrase is ‘d. to follow the recipe carefully’.

timama [110]

The society has misunderstood the context of equality from equality of opportunity to equality of outcome.

Explanation:

Harrison Bergeron is a dystopian science-fiction short story by American writer Kurt Vonnegut, first published in October 1961.

The novel is an exploration of the fine balance between what equality of opportunity in a free society means in connection to what complete and total equality in a society would amount to.

This is a satire on collectivization in that if all humans are equally smart, weak or physically able there will be no growth or no scope of growth within that society and no potential for human development.
