= Gross profit ÷ sales revenue

= (Sales revenue - cost of goods sold) ÷ sales revenue

= ($41,000 - $27,880) ÷ ($41,000)

= 32%

For James

= ($46,000 - $27,600) ÷ ($46,000)

= 40%
