Can you ever be too ambitious?<br> yes or no? explain why or why not
Phoenix [80]
Webster's dictionary defines ambition as: "<span>a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work." with that being said, there is not necessarily any way to have too much ambition. the most important though, it to have a purpose. Billy Sunday, a preacher from a time passed, once said, "More men fail through lack of purpose than lack of talent." he is saying that anyone can do anything, given that they put their mind to it. Philippians 4:13 states: "For i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."</span>

What indications do you have that Teiresias is truly a prophet? What do you think the signs he has interpreted mean?
Anarel [89]

Answer:

He is a prophet, and he gives us several signs of his power even before he tells us his prophecy. One of the reasons why we know that he is indeed a prophet is from the interpretations that he makes of signs. The signs tell him that the gods do not approve of Creon's behaviour.

What is one reason that Thomas Paine thinks the colonies stand a good chance against the British
Svet_ta [14]
<span>The one reason that Thomas Paine thinks the colonies stand a good chance against the British was that the colonies had very less to lose in the fight against the British. On the other hand the British had everything to lose once the colonies freed themselves from the oppression. The colonies had every resource to prepare arms for the fight against the British. The British would lose out financially in a big way as the colonies would then stop paying undue taxes that the British government charged.      </span>
