as a result of globalization, do national governments have more or less power in maanging their national policies?
Serhud [2]

Answer:

Globalization has had effects on different issues of society, especially

in policy and policy-making. Policy-making in this era, i.e. the era of globalization,

is different when comparing it with policy-making of other era. It needs policy

makers to manage the situation well and look globally instead of thinking just

locally. On this basis, the aim of this paper is to study globalization in general

and its impacts on the national policy agenda first; then, some global context that

has an important role in national policy-making, such as environment, poverty and

population growth, aids, drugs, trade and industry, privatization and terrorism, is

studied.Policy-making is an extremely analytical and political process which involves

a complex set of forces. It begins with the ideas people or interest groups have

about the actions they want the government to take. In other words, these are the

demands or proposals made by interest groups or by other actors upon the political

system for action or inaction on some perceived problems. Public policies are being

conditioned everywhere by the external environment [19, p. 95-96]. It is impossible

to separate the external environmental factors, as they invariably influence the

political processes and policy outcomes. The influence, being brought to bear on

socio-economic problems of a country by agencies (WHO, ILO, UNEP, UNDP,

etc.), the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Policy

Forum, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and

the European Central Bank, etc., is of critical importance in shaping its policies.

You have tested an unknown sample using both theBenedict’s and Biuret tests. The solution mixed with the biuret reagent is bluea
Sauron [17]

Answer:

The sample contains protein.

Explanation:

Biuret test is a test used to determine or assay for proteins in a solution. When the biuret reagent is added to a solution and it turns blue after 2 minutes, it means that the solution contains protein.

Benedict’s test is used to determine the presence of sugar (reducing sugar) in a solution. When it turns brick red, it means there is the presence of reducing sugar in large quantity.

From the question, since the solution turned blue on addition of Biuret  reagent and was also blue on addition of Benedict’s reagent (the reagent is usually blue), it means that the solution contained just proteins excluding reducing sugars.
