17-year-old Hugh Herr would wake up to the stumps of his legs below his sheets and remember: Both his limbs had been amputated five inches below the knee. The doctors said he would never run again They were wrong. Almost every other day for four years now, Herr, 46, has been jogging the 1.7-mile wooded loop around Walden Pond in Massachusetts on specially designed prostheses. “I was out just yesterday,” he says. “It’s a beautiful run.”For Herr science is intensely personal.Today he has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and a Harvard Ph.D. in biophysics, and he is walking around on motorized bionic limbs that adjust 500 times a second for angle, stiffness, and torque. He designed them himself.

Sooo no but robotic human prosthetics are a thing

In the article "are bionic humans real superhumans on the horizon?" We were introduced to a reality that increasingly closer to our community and our daily lives. The inclusion of mechanical technical and bionic devices in a human organism.

These devices have the main function to help people with physical difficulties, such as people who need photosynthesis to help the movement of the body promote the replacement of the body generationting a better quality life.

In the addition there is already research that aims to create devices that will be implanted in the brain and will promote helping people with ineffective cognitive problems and diseases that directly attack the brain.

these devices will give people advantages by making them in many cages, the closets to what we call superhumans.

this is beneficial technological that will improve the lives of many people. In this article it states yes bionic humans are in the horizon.

Kalani and lael are students who have been comparing the total kinetic energy of an iceberg to an ice cube
Nitella [24]

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

Kalani and lael are students who have been comparing the total kinetic energy of an iceberg to an ice cube

Kalani’s Argument: My claim is that an iceberg has more total kinetic energy (thermal energy) than an ice cube. This is because even though an iceberg is about the same temperature as an ice cube, it is also much larger, so it is made of a lot more molecules. For this reason, an iceberg will have more total kinetic energy (thermal energy) than an ice cube.

Lael's Argument: An iceberg has more total kinetic energy (thermal energy) than an ice cube because it is larger and made of more molecules. This matters because molecules move, and moving things have kinetic energy, so each molecule adds its kinetic energy to the total. Since the iceberg and the ice cube are around the same temperature, the fact that the iceberg has extra molecules means that it will have more total kinetic energy (thermal energy).

Which argument is more convincing?

Answer:

Kalani's argument is more convincing.

Explanation:

Lael says that the fact that Icebrg has extra molecules means that it has greater kinetic energy and this is not true, since the kinetic energy is greater in bodies and objects that have greater speed. In addition, speed increases as a body has greater mass. In this case, we can consider Kalani's argument as more convincing, since she related the kinetic energy to the mass of the iceberg.

Which of the following sentences uses correct punctuation? A. Francis had a lot on his mind that afternoon, he was concerned abo
SpyIntel [72]
The sentence which uses correct punctuation is C. In time, of course, all issues get resolved, but not necessarily in the way you would like.
In A, the comma before he was concerned should be a dash. In B, there should be a colon before a flashlight, not a semi colon. In D, there should be a comma before yet, and not a colon.

You decide to go to a house party instead of babysitting Friday night. What are your opportunity
Naddika [18.5K]

The opportunity cost of going to a night party instead of babysitting at home is:

 • The benefit of taking care of the baby adequately and completing your work that you would have gained from babysitting that night.

What is an opportunity cost?

This is the loss of value or benefit that would have been incurred by engaging in an activity rather than engaging in an alternative activity.

The opportunity cost in this scenario is the value of what you gave up in other to attend the party, which was to babysit the child and take proper care of the baby.

In conclusion, an opportunity cost is the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is already chosen.
