Answer:

First, a consumer will analyze the cost of the products.

Next, the costumer will analyze the benefit that that products could bring for them. Let's say that both products cost  $ 50. The costumer may think :

- The concert will give me about 3 hours of happiness

- while the jeans could give me about 3 years and it motivate me to maintain my weight.

After weighing the benefit, the jeans is more favorable to him because it bring more benefit to him than the tickets so he chose to use his money to buy the jeans instead

(found it on google hope it helps :))  )

How can a global dependence on fossil fuels have associated social costs?
asambeis [7]
A global dependence on fossil fuels leads to an increased demand for limited resources. This leads to increased costs and access to resources for people and countries with greater monetary resources. Developing countries experience stand points to their development through their inability to access fossil fuel resources.

Which best describes how storm water runoff pollutes Puget Sound?
vivado [14]

Answer:

Rain washes pollutants off streets and into storm drains, which drain into Puget Sound.

Explanation:

"Puget Sound" is a Pacific Ocean inlet that is located in Washington's northwestern coast. It is said that the name "Puget Sound" was given by George Vancouver in<em> 1792,</em> in honor of a lieutenant, Peter Puget, who was very helpful in guiding him through his expedition.

Puget Sound is home to many marine species, such as salmon, Pacific rods, harbor seals, Pacific herring and the like. However, some of these, like the <em>"Olympia oysters,"</em> have been depleted because of human activities. The recession of many species in this area has been increasing over time. It is said that the inlet was contaminated with radioactive water in 1978, when a submarine accidentally released the radioactive water into Puget Sounds.

Another reason for its buildup of pollution is through the <u>"storm water's run-off." </u>When a storm comes, it hits infrastructure's roofs and other surfaces or pollutants. The debris are carried into the drains by rain and are then drained further into Puget Sound.

The toxic chemicals that are carried primarily comes from the roofing materials or human's everyday products.

GaryK [48]

Answer:

Ethos.

Explanation:

An author employs a variety of persuasive techniques to convince the readers to believe in his claims. Aristotle proposed the three major persuasive appeals: ethos(ethical appeal), pathos(emotional appeal), and logos(logical appeal) that authors employ to persuade the audience.

Ethos is demonstrated as the appeal that convinces the audience by appealing to their ethics by establishing the credibility of his claim.

In the given example, '<u>ethos</u>' is the rhetorical appeal employed by the author as he uses 'the findings of a credible scientific researcher' that would assist him to establish the reliability and ethical character of his claim and appeal to the ethics of the audience to persuade them to accept and believe in his argument and elicit desired response from them.
