Tammy did a survey to answer the following question: what is the average reading score of grade 6 students?
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean/average is the sum of all the numbers divided by the number of numbers.

It is given that mean is 4.5 points. At this point, it means that there might be students scoring less than 4.5 and students scoring greater than 4.5 BUT the average comes to be 4.5.

BUT SINCE IT IS GIVEN THAT EACH STUDENT SCORED THE SAME, the only way that this can be true is when EVERY STUDENT SCORES 4.5. This way, the AVERAGE/MEAN will be 4.5

Hence, the correct answer is A.

a – 3b = 22 a = b – 2 What is the solution to the set of equations in the form (a, b)? (–10, –8) (–12, –10) (–8, –6) (–14, –12)
Vinil7 [7]
A = b - 2

a - 3b = 22
(b - 2) - 3b = 22
b - 2 - 3b = 22
-2 - 2b = 22
-2b = 24
-b = 12
b = -12

a = b - 2
a = -12 - 2
a = -14

Solution set {-14, -12}
