What is a "subprime mortgage," and would a subprime borrower be likely to pay a higher or a lower interest rate than a borrower
klio [65]

Answer: A subprime mortgage is a type of home loan issued to borrowers with low credit scores (often below 600) who wouldn't qualify for conventional mortgages. They usually come with much higher interest rates and down payments than conventional options. Taking out a subprime mortgage is rarely a good idea.

What was the main idea behind the colonists' complaint of "no taxation without representation"?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

No taxation without representation means American colonist were taxed by the British Parliament and in return Americans will be given the rights to elect representatives.

Explanation:

Previously  the British Parliament had a law where the American colonist had to pay taxes but on the other hand they were not given the right to elect their representatives. The Americans complaint against it and demanded for "no taxation without representation".

The main idea behind it was that as the Americans had to pay huge taxes they should be given the right to elect their representatives as the Britishers get, that is the opportunity to elect the representatives.

- paragraph form (5-6 sentences).
NikAS [45]

According to the History Channel, Europeans had motives for exploring the new world such as God, Gold, and Glory.

Europeans felt it was their Christian duty to spread the word of God through Christianity. Another European motive was the search for gold to enhance the richness of their home country (often in the name of their ruler(s)/monarch(s)). Europeans also explored for glory and to promote their home country’s power , show off their military might, and to spread their influence.

European exploration forever changed the New World through the spread of disease, religious assimilation, slavery/indentured servitude, cultural/social assimilation, weapon exchange, and economic trade. The United States still feels the effects of many of these changes such as with the near eradication of many Native American tribes and their ways of lives/cultures.
