How does the structure of a poem contribute to its impactfulness?
Nitella [24]
Repetition, rhyme, metaphors, similes, etc all affect the way a poem is delivered. The more relatable or engaging a poem is, the more impact is has on readers. Being short and direct also allows a poem to be more eye-catching, being quick and easy to read. Large words allow the poem to seem professional or intellectual, while simple, small words make the poem easier to read.

What figure of speech is my . . . love should grow vaster than empires?
Liono4ka [1.6K]
A metaphor

This metaphor is comparing the speaker's love and the way that it grows to an empire that is growing quickly. The visual of love spreading across the world in the same way an empire's goal would be to spread across the world is a strong connection.
