British military strategy in the south was to move the military forces to the southern colonies where more Loyalist are present among the colonists. Slaves and Indian allies are also on the British side which make the British army more confident to capture the region but British military strategy failed in the Southern colonies because of the false information of Loyalist present in the colonies, wrong political and military policies and supply less number of forces to control the region.

The Battle of Cowpens has a significant value because this battle was a turning point of the Revolutionary War in the southern colonies. The victory of Americans forced the British army to retreat and the Americans were more confidence that they could win the war.
