What is one way US workers are affected when jobs are outsourced to less-developed countries? A. US workers are not affected whe
Mazyrski [523]

The correct answer is D.

When a company decides to outsource some or all its manufacturing activities it seeks to reduce its production costs, because in less-developed countries factors of production are generally cheaper (land, labor, capital), there are less strict legal requeriments for companies, etc. This allows corporations to produce more efficiently and to become more competitive in the international markets.

The employees in the US suffer the consequences when a US company decides to outsource its activities because many lose their jobs as labor costs in the US cannot compete with those from less-developed nations.

Explain why are so many oil refineries were set up along the southeastern border of Texas.
horsena [70]

Answer:

There are oil fields spread throughout Texas and many of then are set up along the coastline.  The reason is that its economical. Prospectors had to drill oil where they could find it, but they could choose where they placed the refineries. Some refineries were set up near the oil fields. Those in the oil industry quickly determined that it was cheaper to ship their product throughout the U.S. overseas than to send it over land, so they built refineries along the coast. This allowed for easy access to the cargo ships once the oil was turned into its designated product.

In Locke's "Second Treatise on Civil Government" the __________.
Leto [7]

The correct option is "A"

In the Second Treaty, Locke deploys his theory of the State.

To avoid struggles for power, Locke tries to banish the idea of tyrannicide. It considers that a constitutional king that is subordinated to the civil power (of the Parliament) is more than enough. To silence the critics will come to say that "Other forms of power can also fall into tyranny."

The first fundamental law of the Legislative Power is that it is "elected and appointed by the people." National sovereignty therefore remains in the hands of this Legislative Power, elected by the people, and will be translated into "the power to legislate" (make laws) and "elect the Executive Power".
