Answer:

Islam made its way to India between 700 and 800 CE.

Explanation:

India, as a region, is the cradle of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism. Hinduism has become and remained dominant, with Sikhism being practiced on a smaller scale, while Buddhism moved eastward. Despite the dominance of Hinduism in the region, between 700 and 800 CE, a new religion came in and ever since has been competing with it.

The new religion in the region was Islam. Initially, it came with the traders and merchants, some of which settled in India and formed small communities. After that, the more important process of the introduction of Islam in India was through military conquest and forced conversion. This has resulted in large areas of India that were ruled by Muslims quickly become dominated by Islam, and since Muslims were rulling areas of India for a very long time the influence was very big, where around a third of the total population of the region nowadays is Muslim.

Why is weathering described as passive or inactive
DochEvi [55]
Because it does not directly affect the landform thus why it's considered as a passive agent. Those that do directly affect landforms are tectonic activities, winds, and water flow. Weather only onsets the formations.
