In this question , it is given that

△ABC∼△EFG .

Given m∠C=52° and m∠E=61°

Since the triangles are similar, so we have

m∠C=m∠G=52°

m∠A=m∠E=61°

m∠B=m∠F=x

And sum of measurements of angles of a triangle is 180 degree, that is

m \angle A + m \angle B + \angle C = 180

52+61+x =180
\\
113 +x = 180
\\
113+x-113 = 180-113
\\
x = 67

So the measurement of angle B is 67 degree.

Answer:

 • x = 17
 • y = 26

Step-by-step explanation:

In the left problem, you use the fact that the sum of the segment lengths is equal to the overall length.

 AC +CB = AB

 (3x -4) +(x -2) = 62

 4x -6 = 62 . . . . . collect terms

 4x = 68 . . . . . . . add 6

 x = 17 . . . . . . . . . . divide by 4

__

In the right problem, you use the fact that the sum of the angles is equal to the overall angle. Here, that overall angle is a linear angle, so measures 180°.

 ∠DFG +∠GFE = ∠DFE

 (5y +3) +(2y -5) = 180

 7y = 182 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . collect terms, add 2

 y = 26 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .divide by 7

X-5y-z=-20

-2x-y-6z=25

-x-4y-z=-15
Solve by elimination
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

x = 0

y = 5

z = -5.

Step-by-step explanation:

X-5y-z=-20

-2x-y-6z=25

-x-4y-z=-15

Add equation 1 and 3:

-9y - 2z = -35 .......... A

Multiply the first equation by 2:

2x - 10y - 2z = -40

Now add this to equation 2:

-11y -8z = -15.............B

Now multiply equation A by -4:

36y + 8x = 140.........C

Add equations B and C:

25y = 125

y = 5.

Substitute for y in equation A:

-9*5 - 2z = -35

2z = -45 + 35 = - 10

z = -5.

Now find x by substituting for y and z in the first equation:

x - 5(5) - (-5) = -20

x - 20 = -20

x = 0.

A grandmother says her grandson is two years older years older than her ganddaughter and that together , they are at least 12 ye
suter [353]
let x represent granddaughter and x +2 for grandson and together they = 12
so then we have the equation of x+2+x = 12
combine like terms 2x +2 =12
-2 from both sides to isolate x
2x=10 divide both sides by 2 to get x by itself
so we get x = 5 then add 2 +5=7
so grandson is 7 and granddaughter is 5
