The Glorious Revolution of 1688 demonstrated that Parliament had
matrenka [14]

The Glorious Revolution of 1688 demonstrated that Parliament had:

(C) Power over the English monarchy

Further explanation

The glorious revolution was a revolt of the English people against King James II. This king was unpopular because of his brutal and undemocratic policy, especially he was a Catholic who scared Protestants, the majority group in England. This group was worried because King James II was giving important positions to Catholics in the army and universities. He also imprisoned English bishops who refused to preach for freedom of worship. It was the birth of James Francis Edward, a possible Catholic successor of James II who pushed the English parliament to react.

They asked William III, Stadtholder of the Netherlands, husband of Mary, one of the king's daughters, to come with an army to fight his father-in-law. He landed in England on November 15, 1688, with an army of more than 21,000 men, consisting of Dutch mercenaries, French Huguenots, English, and Scottish volunteers.

James II was not strong enough to resist this invasion, so he went to take refuge in France. William II and Mary Stuart took power very easily because of the agreement of parliament. After that short revolution, we can see that this institution had much more power than the king at that time.

The differences between single-member district and proportional representation
systems.
MrRa [10]

Answer:

Systems of single member and proportional representation are very different. Single member representation, as in the United States, works by carving every state in the country into individual districts based upon population density. In the United States, the number of one-half of a million people is the rough number of citizens in each district. As states lose population for any reason, such as a major decline in job opportunities to other states, they lose voting districts. The number of districts and, consequently, the number of elected officials in the House of Representatives (under the U.S. Constitution, each state has two senators) representing each state is determined on the basis of the national census taken every ten years. Populations shifts, therefore, determine which regions gain and which regions lose representation.

What did mcclellan believe was the key to ending the civil war? control of south carolina control of richmond, virginia control
Deffense [45]
He kept four divisions of soldiers in reserve and refused to use them to attack Lee's army. McClellan was convinced that Lee was massing reserves for a counterattack, but these preserves did not exist. McClellan is a hesitant, timid, and doubtful. The fundamental problem, then was not the plan, but the planner.
